WPUnlimited Versus Thesis
Tuesday
Apr 21, 2009
For a while now people have been creating some sort of rivalry between Thesis and WPUnlimited. I am a big fan of Thesis, and everything they’ve done, and have nothing but respect for the whole team, from the support staff, to the theme’s developers and marketing staff, but Jim Kukral has created a site called WordPressThemeWars where he is currently matching Thesis against WPUnlimited. We can’t tell if he has any bias in this competition, since he is using WPUnlimited for his own blog, but has “Vote for Thesis” in the header.
Of course this is a popularity contest more than anything else and because Thesis has a bigger install base, more popularity in the mainstream WordPress community and has been around longer, it will win, but we still enjoy being listed as a competitor.
A feature to feature comparison between Thesis and WPUnlimited would show that they are really meant for slightly different markets, but if you’d like to vote for either theme, I suggest checking out the site and selecting your favorite theme. Once you’ve done that, please feel free to come on back, and let us know which theme you selected and what your favorite aspect of that theme is (even if you voted for Thesis).
WPUnlimited is still a young WordPress theme, and your feedback will help decide the development direction that we take. Don’t underestimate your own thoughts in shaping what we already think is the best WordPress theme.
WPUnlimited Upgrade from Personal to Developer License
Tuesday
Apr 21, 2009
For those of you that have been waiting for a simple way to upgrade from the $59 personal license to the $150 developer license, we’ve now added the option. Log into your account, and from the drop down box select License Upgrade. Pay the difference, and you’ll gain access to the Developer license, allowing you to install WPUnlimited on all of your sites, as well as any projects you might be working on for others.
